Abstract
Radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology has gained significant attention in various fields, including attendance management systems. This paper proposes an RFID-based attendance management system for school employees. The system will enhance the conventional method of taking attendance, typically done manually using pen and paper, by automating the process and decreasing the likelihood of mistakes and fraudulent attendance records. The system comprises RFID tags, readers, and a database management system. The system is reliable and efficient, and it can generate reports and analytics on employee attendance, which the school management can use for decision-making purposes. It is available on web and desktop platforms, providing users flexibility and convenience. The web-based system allows easy access from any device with an internet connection. In contrast, the desktop-based system offers more control and security as the data is stored locally. Both platforms have similar features and functionalities, including real-time attendance tracking, access control mechanisms, and reporting capabilities. Overall, the RFID-based attendance management system offers an efficient and reliable way to manage employee attendance. It eliminates the need for manual attendance-taking, reduces errors and fraud, and provides real-time data for management decisions.
