Archiving, Preservation, and Repository Policy

DIGITAL ARCHIVING AND PRESERVATION

Digital Preservation systematically stores electronic files across diverse formats, including compact discs, cloud computing, Google Drive, email accounts, and external hard drives. This method ensures the safeguarding of files against various threats, such as website crashes, natural disasters, fires, other forms of artificial destruction, and virus attacks, guaranteeing their preservation.

PRINTED COPY PRESERVATION

Annually, the Panagdait Journal submits a printed copy to the Philippine National Library for the purposes of archiving and preservation. Additionally, each administrative office at Saint Columban College retains a copy.

Authors who have published in Panagdait Journal retain the right to deposit their papers in repositories, subject to the following conditions:

  1. Preprint Repositories: Authors can deposit preprints of their manuscripts in any preprint repository without any embargo period.
  2. Institutional Repositories: Authors can deposit the accepted version of their manuscript (post-print) in their institution’s repository without any embargo period.
  3. Author’s Website or Blog: Authors can share the final published or accepted version of their manuscript on their personal websites or blogs immediately upon publication.

We strongly encourage authors to accurately attribute the published work and ensure that a link to the original article on the Panagdait Journal website is included. This approach is designed to improve research findings’ visibility and reach while considering existing publishing agreements.
